Confidential Hiring for Tug Captain or Port Captain Full Time

• Vessel operator, ship assist and barge movements
• Conventional tugs/vessels
• Communicate with passengers and clients in a professional and respectable manner, load/unload cargo and stores
• Perform vessel inspections, handle minor repairs and preventive maintenance on vessels, perform special projects assigned by Port Engineer and Port Captain, be familiar with all vessel systems and plumbing, oversee that vessels remain clean and orderly
• Perform monthly AWO/USCG inspections and training/drills, communicate with management on potential issues or safety concerns in the field
• all damage/issues to vessels or crew whether responsible or not
• Assist with the overall efficiency and safety of the marine operations
• Stop any unsafe work conditions regardless of your involvement
• Order supplies for the vessels
• Port Captain duties will also include hiring, training and additional compliance and management responsibilities

Minimum Requirements –

• 1-2 years as a tug captain
• 100 ton inland license
• Radar
• TWIC
• FCC
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and remain enrolled in random drug testing program
• Fit for duty

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
