National Sales / Marketing Manager

A well-established and growing manufacturer of High-Tech equipment seeks a motivated individual for managing sales and marketing. The position will be responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing of the Herkules existing product lines and new product lines. This is an opportunity to work with a company that has been an industry leader for over 35 years and manufactures premium products. You will be trained on all aspects of your job as needed. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined with experience in the equipment industry. The candidate MUST have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, some experience with equipment sales and marketing would be a plus. Looking for an aggressive long-term team player. Medical/401k/Profit Sharing.
Responsibilities: Include and are not limited to the following:
1. Maintain major company accounts
2. Build strong honest relationship with current and new customers
3. Maintain product price sheets for all product lines with annual updates
4. Ability to write technically about the equipment Herkules manufactures
5. Work with outside marketing agencies
6. Manage staff
7. Websites: Based on executive input, update website pages (maintained in HTML and WordPress).
8. Budgets: Develop and manage marketing budgets
9. Print Material: Create / manage brochures, flyers, and banners.
10. Advertising: Maintain relationships with Magazines and Electronic Media companies to negotiate space for print and internet advertising. Create ad content and subsequently review ads for content and correct information. Maintain Google Ads account with a focus on keywords, regularly reviewing their effectiveness.
11. Public relations: Write & develop releases and edit photos. Develop and pitch editorial opportunities with industrial trade and warehouse publications.
12. Databases & mailings: Create content for email campaigns to targeted customer bases. Maintain customer databases.
13. Trade shows: Coordinate national trade shows.
14. Email maintenance: Point person for staff emails, setting up new accounts, deleting old ones, and aiding staff by serving as intermediary with email provider to resolve email issues.
15. Industrial certification support: Team lead for ISO certification and coordinates documents. Annual management review and staff continuous improvement meetings, to help ensure on-going ISO compliance.
16. Grant writing: Monitor opportunities for, and respond by writing for grant proposals.
17. Trademarks: Coordinated interaction with USPTO to submit trademarks applications.

Challenges for this position:
1. Learning the product lines in order to write and speak technically about the products
2. Knowledge of our website HTML and WordPress
3. Learning our computer systems and have ability to keep items organized with all data and error free
4. Manage all aspects of the job while meeting deadlines
Required travel:
Up to 2 trade shows per year located throughout the United States on a as needed basis.
Education:
Bachelor degree in engineering (4-Year) required with a MBA degree a plus and preferred.
Experience:
Experience with equipment sales would be a plus.
Position:
Full time
Hours – minimum of eight hours / day, five days/week
Overtime is expected when required to get the job completed on time
