Length: April – September 2023 (13-16 weeks)

Hours: 30-40hrs/week

Pay: $16.50 per hour

• Team player and builder who can work within the system. Ability to work in a large, multi-staff setting.

• Demonstrated experience in working with a diverse group of volunteers.
• Be a flexible, cheerful, patient, and strong team player with a desire to support and assist.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and achieve deadlines under pressure.
• Able to work at a fast pace in a variety of settings and circumstances, with composure and flexibility.
• Trustworthy to follow through with delegated responsibilities in a timely way.
• Excellent computer skills including demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software and above average familiarity with database programs.

To be eligible, youth must:

• Be 15-30 years of age, as per the Canada Summer Jobs Program requirements.
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
• International students are not eligible participants. International students include anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies and who is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.
