Account Manager Job Description

Our company is looking for a confident, self-motivated sales professional to join our team as an account manager. This person will call on businesses in our territories to provide professional technology solutions, products and services.

As an Account Manager with Connecting Point you will be responsible for building relationships with individuals and businesses as you consult with them to find solutions that are best suited to meet today’s technology challenges. You will work closely with our team to help you be successful as you build and maintain new and existing customer relationships. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have an understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a sales role is an advantage.

Sales Representative Responsibilities:

• Maintaining existing client relationships
• Generating leads for new clients.
• Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Negotiating contracts and sales with clients.
• Determining pricing schedules for quotes, sales and negotiating profitable solutions.
• Documenting sales activities.
• Presenting solutions to clients.
• Understanding and promoting company policies and procedures.
• Preparing quotes, sales contracts and necessary paperwork to present to clients and process sales.
• Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs and promote our products and services.
• Maintaining client records.
• Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices, and availability.
• Some travel may be required.

Sales Representative Preferences:

• The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in outside sales and/or technology related skills.
• Previous experience may also include selling computing devices, cell phones, or other digital products, even if that experience was in a retail environment .
• Understand the sales process and dynamics.
• A commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent relational skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both clients and vendors.
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including word, excel, and outlook.
• Able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment.

Compensation and benefits:

• Generous base salary plus commission
• Compensation range $50-80,000.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
