PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position will manage all aspects of inbound and outbound shipments. The individual will coordinate with sales and service to fulfill customer requirements. Position will need to identify and achieve department related cost savings, while maintaining exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

The Logistics Coordinator will perform the following activities including:

• Coordinating transportation providers to ensure timely movement of shipments.
• Schedule inbound expedited pick-ups from vendors.
• Provide quotes to internal sales and service departments.
• Handle any damage or lost shipment claims.
• Schedule international container shipments.
• Track deliveries and communicate as needed.
• Flex to packing parts as needed.
• Reduce costs within logistics.

EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Logistics/Supply Chain preferred.
• Logistics experience required
• Export experience preferred
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Experience with computer systems, UPS World Ship system experience or ability to train.
• Ability to effectively manage different tasks required
