We process emailed purchase orders, invoices and order forms on behalf of our clients primarily in the US and Europe and our business is growing. These business documents are exchanged between our clients and their customers and their suppliers. Processing these documents, quickly and accurately, is essential to the supply chain of our clients who provide essential products. Each of these business documents is considered a transaction that must be processed within the hour in order to satisfy our Service Level Agreements with our clients.
Unlike traditional data entry, we use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to “capture” the data from the image. You will work with our OCR software and tab from field to field, confirming or correcting the data recognized by the software, i.e., data verification. We review a limited number of fields, such as the purchase order number, dates, product codes and zip codes. Then we use business rules, database look ups and a final verification by other team members to ensure accuracy.
Working Conditions
As part of a team, you will work from home and you will be in close contact with your colleagues through online chats. The first two months of employment is considered a training period, where you will learn to verify transactions for several clients from several industries. By three months, you will be expected to work quickly to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy. Productivity is monitored throughout your shift and is used to reward you through our bonus program. Your hourly rate will be adjusted at least three times within your first year of employment depending on your performance plus the increase in the minimum wage rate.
This is an entry level position which can lead to Project Captains, Team Leaders, Project Coordinators and Developers.
Requirements
You must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education. Your English language speaking, reading and comprehension skills must be fluent.
