Rosenberger North America is an innovative global leader in radio frequency technology with an international presence. Our products are used in wireless technology, telecom, test & measurement, automotive, medical, military, industrial and data systems. We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in Akron, PA.

The Systems Engineer will handle Network Infrastructure Design, Planning, Maintenance and Support for all Systems and Services related to the Network Infrastructure.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Architect and participate in the implementation of technologies and platforms supporting a complex web services and virtualized infrastructure.
• Ensure high availability of VPN Services and platforms. Support all our Applications as well as ERP development teams endeavors from the infrastructure side.
• Troubleshoot and remediate Tier 3 issues impacting the operation (all systems and services).
• Serve as one of the primary points of contact for complex infrastructure deployments and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with all levels of IT/ERP Team to define infrastructure road-maps that balance upgrades with application requirements.
• Assist with planning and implementing systems and network integrations.
• Document the design, operation, and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
• Mentor and educate IT/ERP staff on the operation and configuration of new infrastructure systems and their inter-operability.
• Evaluate new technologies and platforms to determine their applicability to solving our business challenges and needs.
• Lead the evaluation, selection and deployment of new technologies and tools.
• Work with colleagues to optimize overall system performance. This includes working with applications, network, storage, database and server technology
• Perform system audits, document findings, and publish recommendations.
• Keep abreast of technical developments to ensure the company is able to take advantage of industry advances.
• Experience with design, installation, and configuration of VMware Products, including VSphere.
• Ability to research complex issues while knowing when to ask for help.
• Ability to assess the effectiveness of processes and procedures and lead improvement efforts include documenting and implementing.
• Maintains regular, predictable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel:

• <10% (travel to other locations, training, conferences, if necessary)

Required Qualification:

• 4-6 years’ experience. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems preferred.
• HP Certification and Cisco Certification Preferred.
• Experience with leading a team or working in an Enterprise environment
• Very strong, expert level experience in VMWare, Barracuda Hi-Availability Firewalls, and Infrastructure design.
• Experience with administration and development of Infrastructures and all associated systems.
• Experience in managing equipment installs and availability in a Data Center environment.
• Strong experience with a variety of Microsoft applications (MS Office).
• Experience with technologies including but not limited to KMS, SAN, VMware, VSphere, MS Exchange, Enterprise Certificate implementations, Active Directory, Experience with Citrix a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Expert knowledge and experience with VMware 6.5, Citrix, XenApp and XenDesktop Version 7.15.
• Cisco Network and Routing Experience is required.
• 2 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems & Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Networking and Cisco Router and Switches, Meraki, Cyber Security (Cisco Umbrella- AMP, MDM), VPN, Exchange Server, Active Directory, VOIP telephony systems.
• NetApp SAN Experience is a plus.
• Proven Troubleshooting abilities for software and hardware issues.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
• Excellent customer service delivery skills.
• Requires minimal direct supervision.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
