Shalom Counselling Services Hiring for Credentialled Counsellor/Therapist Full Time

Counsellor (Salaried) (.4 FTE; 2 days/week)

This position is part of a counselling team of therapists who provide counselling services and consultation in the context of a diverse and multi-faith community. As a spiritually integrated counselling agency we honour and respect the diversity of persons, backgrounds and beliefs within our community.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• A minimum of a Master’s degree (MSW or equivalency).
• Accreditation with a recognized credentialing and regulatory body such as the Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSWSSW) or the College of Registered Psychotherapists on Ontario (CRPO).
• A complementary fit with the mission and vision of Shalom Counselling.
• Advanced clinical skills complemented by broad clinical experience—competence in individual, couple, family, and group counselling with clients from age 16 years to adult (5+ years experience preferred).

Intended start date: March 2023

Employment Conditions: The successful candidate will be offered a permanent position with the agency. We plan to grow this position to full-time .8 FTE by the Fall of 2023.

Compensation is based on the agency salary grid ($25,050 – $28,150, depending on experience) at .4 FTE status. This position starts at 4 weeks vacation.

COVID-19 considerations:
We are a mask friendly environment, we still encourage all staff and clients to wear a mask, however it is understood that it is not mandatory. All staff rapid test once a week and are asked to wear masks in common areas of the office.
