The Manager- Learning and Development is responsible for the execution and facilitation of leadership programs at AVANGRID. This includes management development and individual contributor/specialist programs.
The Manager will lead the Leading People Learning Paths and understand the developmental needs of AVANGRID employees at the Supervisor and Manager levels and meet those needs with innovative, relevant, business-driven programs. The incumbent will strategize with business leaders and Talent & Organization Performance colleagues to ensure alignment with business goals, the overall talent strategy, and the desired employee experience. The position can be in Orange, CT or Binghamton, NY with occasional travel to all service area locations.
1. Facilitation and execution of learning initiatives
2. Design/develop/deliver effective learning experiences throughout the employee life-cycle using the 70-20-10- model and a broad range of tools including e-learning, instructor-led, books/videos, knowledge-share platforms and on-the-job development to meet our learning needs
3. Responsible for the overall quality and effectiveness of the Leading People Development programs
4. Collaborate with multiple external vendors to assess the learning needs whilst building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders across various levels and ensuring design and delivery of the curriculum that leads to engagement and acceleration of career development for key populations
5. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure seamless new hire experience through Leadership Essentials Program and any other initiatives
6. Maintain awareness of Talent Development programs in other Iberdrola companies – leverage best practices and programs as appropriate to AVANGRID
7. Serve as a learning consultant to employees and departments interested in developing learning materials, activities, and development experiences. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of programs
8. Manage and monitor implemented programs
9. Keep up to date on latest trends and innovations in adult learning theory, individual contributor development, management and leadership development, and development technologies.

Avangrid employees may be assigned a system emergency role and in the event of a system emergency, may be required to work outside of their regular schedule/job duties. This is applicable to employees that will work in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and New York within AVANGRD Network and Corporate functions. This does not include those that will work for Avangrid Renewables
