The Harbour School at Annapolis is seeking dynamic and motivated self-starter to who wants to solidify a career in special education. We are seeking individuals who have experience with creating hands-on, meaningful, engaging activities for students and experience working with special needs populations is ideal. This unique position is an apprenticeship in conjunction with Notre Dame of Maryland University and successful completion of the program will result in a bachelor’s degree and eligibility for MSDE special education certification. Willingness to learn how to understand students with a variety of learning styles and to differentiate lessons to meet an individual needs is a must. Harbour offers small class sizes, great mentoring resources and an excellent working environment. Individual must be available to work in school classrooms and participate in required coursework. This position works as part of a dynamic instructional team with an emphasis on collaboration to create exceptional outcomes for students. Position includes tuition and monthly stipend. Preferred candidate will have an associates degree or the equivalent number of college credits. Each teacher apprentice will have an assigned 1:1 highly qualified special education mentor.

We are innovative, creative, collaborative and our goal is to provide exceptional special education programing that leads to academic, vocational and social-emotional success for students in grades 1-12..

Salary: $52,000.00 – $54,080.00 per year
