Job Details for the School Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) are as follows:

• Around the Carbondale, pa area
• 1:1 with special needs
• Full Time hours throughout School Year; hours vary per assignment
• OFF Holidays Observed, Summer (Summer Camp opportunities available), Weekends
• Other opportunities available during time off in home care, group homes, and long term care facilities
• Starting rate $26 per hour

The School Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides effective and efficient patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and in accordance with the patient’s plan of care, applicable law and regulation, accepted standards of nursing practice, payor requirements and Interim HealthCare policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of the School Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Assistance with Activities for Daily Living, such as changing, feeding, etc.
• Educating students on hygiene and safety practices
• Dispensing prescription medications to students per physician instructions
• Taking students’ temperatures when fever is suspected
• Administering first aid and CPR
• Treating minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes and bruises

Minimum Requirements of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with active unrestricted license in the state of Pennsylvania; Required
• One (1) year of experience in pediatric nursing; preferred.
• Current CPR Certification; preferred.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment screenings
