YELLOW BREECHES EDUCATIONAL CENTER Hiring for Experiential Teacher – campus location flexible Full Time

Yellow Breeches Educational Center is seeking core-subject teachers for our unique, small classroom environment. Our subjects taught are Math, English, Science and Social Studies. We have 5 campuses; Harrisburg, Carlisle, Boiling Springs, Newville and Annville.

Yellow Breeches is a licensed K-12 special education academic school. We provide experiential and adventure education in a small classroom setting. Our class sizes of 6 students allows teachers the ability to meet each students’ individual needs through hands-on instruction.

We are looking for engaging and motivated individuals ready to strengthen our team. A love of the outdoors and previous experience with youth is preferred.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required to obtain teacher certification. YBEC offers a competitive salary and benefits program. Currently interviewing for various age groups at multiple locations.

Successful individual will :

* Plan and implement differentiated lesson plans in a care subject area to 6 students per class

* Work collaboratively with all teachers to develop cross-curricular activities and lessons.

* Plan and lead weekly experiential activities (local field trips, museums, opportunities to explore careers, college tours, and transition related activities)

* Assist Adventure Teacher in planning weekly adventure trips (mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, SUPing, hiking, and other Experiential / Adventure based activities)

* Assist in planning and attend a week-long adventure and experiential camping trips for the program, twice a year

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
