Position

We are looking for a self-motivated Embedded Software Engineer to join our growing small company. This individual will work directly with Sales, Service, and other Engineers to develop new products and maintain existing products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Design new products and contribute to sustaining efforts on existing products.

· Design firmware and software for a wide range of targets including small embedded. microcontrollers, processors running embedded Linux, and applications running on servers.

· Participate in the full life cycle of product development including requirement definition, design, implementation, test, and maintenance.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or similar related field, and 5 or more years of relevant engineering experience.

· Mastery of computer programming and scripting languages (C, C++, C#, BASH).

· Experience developing code in a Linux environment.

· Experience with Linux build frameworks like Buildroot, Yocto, or similar.

· Experience with board level communications (UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, etc.).

· Familiarity with SNMP, DNP3, or MODBUS.

· Basic knowledge of electrical engineering concepts.

· Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts.

· Ability to multi-task in a small company environment, supporting existing products while developing new products.

· Ability to independently learn new technical skills and to push a project to completion.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $88,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
