Manufacturing Engineer

This position is responsible for supporting expansion and process improvement acivities at our manufacturing facilities in Tennessee, Texas, and Colorado. The successful canidate will take the lead in defining technical requirements, schematics and engineered drawings, prepare evaluate competitive requests for proposal, planning and executing such projeccts with both internal and external resources as needed. The manufacturing Engineer will work closely with local management and production teams towards successful completion.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Provide technical direction, serve as primary point of contact, prepare briefings for senior management, and assists in resolution of technical issues.
• Support and lead cross functional teams of production managers, production employees, maintenance leads, subcontractors and/or equipment suppliers toward the successful completion of expansion and manufacturing process improvement projects.
• Lead project team in developing details specifications, requirements, work plans and packages
• manage schedules and progress tracking -Gannt Charts, Task Lists, Gateways, Dependencies, Status s, Timelines, Identify Gaps, Assignments, and Resource Needs
• Manage vendors and project sub-contractors during all phases of the project
• Support team in meeting project timelines, financial goals, job costs, and budgets
• Manage change order requests, project material or service orders / procurement
• Research and implement manufacturing process improvements and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and increased efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain detailed drawings and layouts of buildings and equipment.
• Design, test, source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Ensure proper permitting and environmental requirements are met.
• Perform field assessemets and audits of manufacturing operations.
• Other technical tasks as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in mechanical, materials, process and /or ceramic engineering required
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing processes.
• Experience in design, operation, repair, and analysis of manufacturing processes.
• Good working knowledge of CAD software requird (AutoCAD or equivalent)
• Experience in production safety, capital improvement, and maintaining compliance with regulations
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge / experience in lean manufacturing techniques
• Good computer skills (e.g., MS Office including Excel, Work and PowerPoint)

Work Envoronment:

This job operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position is a full time salaried position. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The company is offering competitive pay DOE, with the following benefits:
