signature consultants Hiring for Lead Java/Apigee Developer at Chicago, IL Full Time

Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Java/Apigee Developer for an opportunity with a client located in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

• End to End API delivery which includes Planning, Design, Development, Testing, and Delivery of API’s using APIGEE required
• Creation and deployment of API led design strategy, API usage framework, and project team API enablement guidance as a core member
• Implement common APIs based on architecture guidelines and framework related to logging, authentication, security, error recovery etc
• Implement requirements of the API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization request and response modifications etc. using Apigee required
• Design and develop the custom policies in Java, JavaScript, Node JS, Python etc in Apigee Build and create shared flows for Error Handling, Security and other scenarios as deemed necessary
• Design and develop API platform to connect to various disparate backend systems for seamless data exchange
• Create REST API documentation using OPEN API specification
• Ability to define, create, and execute integration tests (API testing, unit testing, etc)
• Experience in the CI/CD process for API automated deployment
• Experience in using Apigee Edge and Micro-gateway for development of API proxies

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience with API Gateways (Apigee) is required
• Has excellent knowledge of Apigee components – Edge, Developer portal and the configurations that can be done in those components
• Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development and testing
• Thorough understanding of XML, JSON, Web Service technologies (SOAP, Rest), and data structures
• Deep understanding and experience of OAuth 2.0 with all grant types
• Proven ability to create RESTful APIs using node.js libraries or Java/J2EE
• Knowledge of Apigee On-Prem (Private Cloud)
• Proven ability to create API proxies and configure policies on APIGEE Edge
• Proven ability to create API Specs using Swagger specifications
• A proven hunger to learn new technologies and translate them into working software
• Knowledge of Banking & Insurance industry is a plus
• Being Apigee Certified is a plus
