Candlewood East Marina Hiring for Content Marketing & Sales Associate Full Time

JOB TITLE: Content Marketing & Sales Associate

LOCATION: Candlewood East Marina – 204 Candlewood Lake Road, Brookfield, CT 06804

TERMS: This is a full-time position that requires weekend hours. Standard work hours are as follows:

• Tuesday – Saturday: 8:30am to 5:00pm (one weekday off in addition to being closed on Mondays)
• Sunday: 12:00pm to 4:00pm (closed on Sundays from January to Easter)

REQUIREMENTS: There are several summer events and winter boat show events throughout the year that will require working past 5:00pm.

SALARY/HOURLY RATE: Salary plus Sales Commission

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Content Marketing

• Create and execute a content marketing calendar to support sales efforts and company events throughout the year.
• Social Posts: Create, capture and edit videos, photos, reels and blogs for social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn.
• Execute the monthly marketing calendar including:
• Initiate the creative request process with our creative agency providing clear direction, timing and access to creative assets to develop requested marketing materials.
• Manage the creative process including:
• Managing project timelines.
• Providing creative feedback and securing creative approval from management.
• Manage third party vendors responsible for final creative execution including but not limited to email blasts, Every Door Direct Mailers (EDDM), print ads, printed and digital signage, and website updates.
• Manage club event sign ups through third-party provider (e.g., Acuity Scheduling).
• Compile content from various company departments to create, edit and send out the weekly marina club emails to members.
• Assist the Club Restaurant with creative and menu editing needs.

Sales Associate

• Manage new and pre-owned boat listings for:
• Internal Listings: Keep Excel Spreadsheet up to date.
• Online Listings: Create and post boat descriptions, photos and video walkthroughs of all boats.
• Showroom Listings: Create digital product signage to display boat details, videos and pricing.
• Assist with the sales process including greeting customers, identify boating needs, showing new and pre-owned boats to customers when needed and introducing customers to the sales team.
• Have a working knowledge of all boat brands we sell including key features, available options and boat usage types.
• Attend boat show events to support sales team in managing floor traffic in the same manner.
• Assist with the boat delivery process including loading boats with coast guard kits, taking customers through a tour of the boat and demonstrating the proper way to drive, dock and trailer their boat.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Experience with Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Constant Contact and Acuity Scheduling preferred. Training will be provided.
• Experience using iMovie or comparable video editing programs.
• Experience with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn.
• Marketing background preferred.
• 5+ years of boating experience preferred.
• A passion for boating and water sports.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Self-motivated to identify social content to capture and create leveraging other staff members as needed.
• Must be outgoing and personable, willing to talk with customers and fellow teammates.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
