STAFFING COORDINATOR
Function of the Job
This position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing. Responsible for all scheduling, staffing and recording of hours worked by nursing personnel in accordance with State and Federal regulations established policies and budgeted positions.
Essential Job Responsibilities
1. Assure scheduling and staffing standards are met by developing creative staffing and flexible schedules in conjunction with budgeted positions.
2. Adjust staffing changes according to available staff and s changes to appropriate supervisors.
3. Replace “call-offs (unscheduled absences) in accordance with standard scheduling policies.
4. Assure accuracy of unitime , verifying hours worked, overtime hours, and Paid Time Off (PTO) days.
5. Assure that call-off PTO hours are given to Payroll within the pay period the call off occurred.
6. Maintain nursing staff time schedules.
7. Calculate adjusted census daily.
8. Coordinate with the Human Resource Department in obtaining required information in the personnel files of all nursing department employees (licenses, certifications, etc.)
9. Monitors all job classification changes and s to the ADON or DON.
10. Advise Human Resources and Payroll of any changes in staff PTO, LOA’s, etc.
11. Monitor employee absenteeism and tardiness, ing issues to appropriate person for necessary counseling.
12. Assist the A.D.O.N. with mandated in-services and orienting of employees as necessary.
13. to the Supervisor, Director of Compliance or Compliance Hotline, any questionable conduct or suspected violation of regulations or Alliance Community for Retirement Living (ACRL) policy covering the delivery and/or billing of healthcare services.
14. Perform related and special duties as assigned.
15. Pick up C.N.A. shifts as assigned by DON.
Qualifications
· Basic knowledge and understanding of the principles of scheduling and staffing.
· Ability to work effectively in conjunction with nursing management in scheduling staffing and employee training.
· Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Proficiency in computer software programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
· Project a professional appearance and demeanor.
· Ability to work scheduled hours and take on call as needed.
· Possess a valid Florida C.N.A. certificate.
