JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to assist with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. The Project Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing energy/utility asset continuous monitoring system projects. Will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project and full project life-cycle support.

Responsibilities will include:

• Serve as a technical resource for portfolio of continuous monitoring systems
• Assist proposal team in defining project/service scope of work
• Work with customers to generate solution documentation for customer electricians/contractors
• Co-ordinate and support installation services with on-site personnel/contractors
• Assist end customers in post-installation integration into local IT environment and ing systems
• Train customers in product use and data interpretation to insure positive product experience
• This role must see the full scope of a project and be able to plan multiple projects concurrently

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Serve as a subject matter expert for the implementation and installation of Doble’s portfolio of continuous monitoring systems.
• Design, architect, and support the installation of complex monitoring systems in the electric utility power delivery space.
• Co-ordinate with customers contractors on system design and Installation plans.
• Create installation drawings and documentation for designed systems for customer network team.
• Connect, wire, and build integrated solutions with third party equipment and enabling IT networking.
• Collaborate with other departments (primarily Engineering, Client Service Engineering and Marketing) and all individuals to facilitate positive working relationships with all internal and external Doble stakeholders.
• Support new product development and current product enhancement via incorporation of customer feedback.
• Provide support in testing new product feature sets, and software evaluation to improve overall product quality.
• existing issues via established software bug-logging system and more comprehensive Doble-wide system.
• Provide customer issue resolution to issues with existing products via the methods described above.
• Proven project management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
• Performing quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and ing on the project’s status.

TRAVEL:

• Domestic and international travel required (50%); this level can vary throughout the year due to customer demand.

DECISION-MAKING LATITUDE

• Define project scope during planning/proposal stages.
• System implementation.
• Proven ability to manage time, priorities, travel, and company requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

• B.S. Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience in the field of electric energy/utility engineering

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Five plus years of experience successfully managing projects in a technical environment
• Must have the ability to express ideas clearly in both written, oral and developing new media communications
• Must have the ability to listen carefully
• Must have excellent time management skills, in order to work from a remote environment
• Must have a professional demeanor at all times with all stakeholders (both internal and external to Doble)
• Must have a strong balance of product and service orientation
• Must have experience with complex systems and field installations
• Must have experience with creating technical drawings
• Must enjoy teaching and relating ideas or concepts to individuals with varied levels of experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):

• Experience in Electric systems monitoring, equipment design, application, and implementation
• Power industry experience
• Telcom systems
• IT networking certifications
• Artificial Intelligence systems
• Experience working with contractors/electricians

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers and customers. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
