Job Summary and Qualifications

The Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician provides respiratory therapy procedures, as ordered by the physician, to patients throughout the facility that may include, neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatrics. Our CRTTs treat diverse cases from performing arterial punctures to setting up ventilators in the NICU. What you will do in this role:

• You will provide respiratory care to include oxygen therapy, Aerosol (updraft), IPPB, MDI, IS, CPT, BiPAP, CPR, maintain airway, volume ventilation, Cardioversion, pulse oximetry, sputum collection, medical gas and arterial blood gases.
• You will calculate and administer medication and treatments as ordered.
• You will explain treatment to patients and answer their questions.
• You will collaborate and communicate with other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• You will clean and sterilize equipment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited program of Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• AS or BS degree preferred.
• Must have a State license and be Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the NBRC
• BLS certification required.
• One year critical care experience preferred
