To this day, the company continues to manufacture its famous confections in the town of St. Stephen, New Brunswick. Ganong continues to grow in the fast-paced & competitive world of food manufacturing and is currently seeking an Electrician for the Maintenance Department.

Position Summary:

ing to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrician is responsible for repairs and the installation and maintenance of all equipment within the factory.

Responsibilities:

• Logically diagnose problems, adapt, improvise, and overcome all situations
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems of the production equipment and factory
• Adhere to all safety practices and policies and ensure Proper Protective Equipment is always worn
• Complete other duties as assigned by maintenance management
• Willing to coach and mentor junior employees
• Participate in performance management strategies and provide relevant ing

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Red Seal Industrial Electrician or Licensed Electrician with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Electrical and Mechanical comprehension required
• Instrumentation experience (PLC programs mostly Allen Bradley)

• Ability to comprehend manufacturer’s manuals regarding repairing equipment
• Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to accept and embrace change in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Clear understanding of safety procedures as. they relate to the field
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Must be flexible, able to work shift work and overtime when required
