HR Jr. Generalist – Hybrid

Job Summary:

This is a hourly full-time position (40+ hours per week). The Human Resources Junior. Generalist will assist the Recruiting Department for twenty (20) hours a week. They will be assigned to a division and be responsible for hiring and interviewing staff, completing background checks, ensuring all personnel files are compliant and up-to-date and that Vista Care is bringing in talented caregivers dedicated to Vista Care’s mission. They will spend the additional twenty (20) hours assisting the Human Resources Business Partner with employee relations, processing personnel transactions in Paycor, the HR Dashboard, and assisting with conversations with employees and operational leadership as assigned.

This position will be ing to a Human Resources Business Partner with a dotted line to the Talent Specialist Supervisor.

Location:

This position will be hybrid after the completion of the training period. The location of the position will be based in Sheboygan, WI at Vista Care’s Corporate Office but the position will be able to work remotely twice (2x) a week.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists in pulling and compiling the HR Dashboard on a weekly basis and sending it out to all Operational Units and Leadership. Analyzes trends and provides recommendations for improvement.
  • Assists the Human Resources Business Partner with employee relations investigations as assigned. Ensures due diligence is completed and all investigations are thorough and objective; provides recommendations to the Human Resources Business Partner based on the findings of the investigation.
  • Assists with the drafting of routine disciplinary action documents.
  • Pulls s from Paycor and provides the relevant data to the HR Business Partner for analysis and follow-up with the appropriate operational unit.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of all Federal, state and local laws in the jurisdictions that Vista Care operates within.
  • Responds to all unemployment claims in a timely manner and participates in hearings as requested.
  • Strategically sources talent for the organization.

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

  • Places job advertisements on Company Careers site and other sites routinely. Effectively screens and sources for talent.

  • Conducts or acquires background checks and reference checks.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Pro-actively sources talent; attends career and/or job fairs on behalf of Vista Care.

  • Partners with High Schools, Colleges, Nursing Schools and Trade Schools to consistently find new sources of talent for the organization.

  • Participate and engage in Company initiatives.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Leadership.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a similar field. Alternatively, is currently in pursuit of a Degree in Human Resources.
  • At least one (1) or more years of prior HR experience including experience in Talent Acquisition.
