Under the general supervision of the Manager of Respiratory Care provides intensive and general respiratory care services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients upon receiving written prescriptions from a physician. Also functions as a team leader within the structure of the department’s clinical ladder.

What you will need:

Required: Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree

Specify Degree(s): Respiratory Therapy

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Required:

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
Current Respiratory Care License State of Illinois
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Preferred:
ACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support Certified)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Recognition
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Other: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required within 90 days of hire. NRP required for
Primary Neonatal practitioners.
