HH Health System-Lincoln Hiring for Sleep Technician (Full-time) ***Sign-On Bonus Available*** Full Time

Lincoln Medical Center is looking for an experienced Sleep Tech to join our Respiratory department in a PRN (as needed) position.

The basic purpose of this position is to perform, access, analyze and score sleep polysomnographic studies.

Essential Functions:

• Under the general supervision of the Department Director, perform a wide variety of polysomnographic studies in the laboratory.
• Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills with patients, patient families, laboratory staff, physicians, and other members of the hospital staff.
• Apply EEG, EOG, EKG, and EMG electrodes in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Monitor patient throughout the night, observing cardiac rhythm and respiration abnormalities, along with attending to the personal needs of the patient throughout the night.
• Clean and maintain the equipment and testing room in an organized and sanitary fashion.
• Score polysomnographic record.
• Recognize abnormal sleep, respiratory and cardiac patterns.
• Possess the knowledge of appropriate actions to take during patient emergency situations and insure patient safety at all times.
• Log polysomnograms and fill out charge documents.

Sleep (Polysomnographic) Tech Position Details:

• Full-time
• Sunday – Saturday
• Night Shift

Sleep (Polysomnographic) Tech Qualifications and Skills:

• State of Tennessee (or eligible) as a Polysomnographic Technologist
• CPR certification required
• 2 years of experience required
• Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Polysomnography
