What we are looking for:

OPTO is looking for an experienced CAD Administrator that can implement, improve, & maintain our CAD and PDM software for both the Design & Engineering departments. In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Autodesk Revit & Inventor template and drawing structure, Vault PDM software, Inventor to Revit model conversion, and other essential duties for the maintenance and accuracy of our 3D modeling software and drawings. This is a collaborative role with both the Design & Engineering teams to develop and maintain drawing standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Develops, configures, and maintains CAD/PDM software and databases

• Convert Inventor models to Revit ensuring they have all the features required for Design departments utilization

• Assist the Design team with the transition of their base operating software from Autocad to Revit

• Create workflows and CAD processes to improve efficiencies and communication across both departments

• Performs administrator training and presentations for new users or software upgrades

• Primary stakeholder in the development of policy recommendations and procedures

• Assist with setting up file structures and nomenclature standards

• Work with IT on installation and configuration of CAD software

• Creates and maintains documentation of all install and troubleshooting procedures

• Other duties as assigned

Required Technical Skills:

• Inventor/Revit/Autocad modeling & drawing experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field preferred with a minimum of 5 years of developing, documenting, and training to CAD standards

• Develop best practices, define standards for data management including system and process documentation.

• Project management experience.

• Good grasp of engineering concepts & principles

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
