CAPTURE D Hiring for Logistics Coordinator 1 Full Time

CAPTURE 3D, a ZEISS company, is an industry leader in providing automated and manual 3D Non-Contact 3D Scanning and Inspection solutions. We are seeking an energetic full-time Logistics Coordinator I to join our Farmington Hills / Wixom MI team. Candidate will help support CAPTURE 3D’s mission to provide our customers with a great customer experience throughout their engagement journey including an efficent supply chain and logistics coordination. Candidate will lead the sourcing, tracking, coordination, and delivery of systems while identifying potential process improvements while working within departmental standard operating procedures.

The ideal candidate will have some basic logistics-related experience including processing requests, acquiring items, coordinating multi-step cooperative efforts, shipping & receiving and be very detail oriented with great computer skills. The ideal candidate will also have good time management, communication & organizational skills.

This position is 100% onsite at CAPTURE 3D’s Farmington Hills / Wixom facility. Candidate must be able to reliably make the daily commute to either location.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Overseeing all dispatch operations, both local and international, ground, air and ocean
• Experience in scheduling and interacting with FedEx, UPS and Freight Forwarders
• Organizing and managing inventory, storage, and transportation
• Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures
• Utilize and participate in Agile Scrum methodologies and techniques to assist in Daily Standups and Sprint Planning with cross-functional teams
• Reviewing, preparing, and routing purchase orders and settlements
• Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments
• Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity
• Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues
• Liaising and negotiating with suppliers & customers
• Answering customer queries both local and out of state

Qualifications and Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in logistics or shipping and receiving related positions
• Must posse a valid driver’s license
• Working knowledge of shipping related legal regulations
• Excellent communication, written and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
• Excel at recognizing and mitigating potential risks
• Able to solve problems quickly and methodically
• Candidate must be detailed oriented and able to function as part of a team, with members of varying job levels and skills sets, different personalities, and work cooperatively toward common goals
• Fluent in English language
• Must be able appropriately lift up to 40lbs
• Forklift certification required
