Work evenings, 3 (three evenings, a week of less) and Saturdays, Two to four classes in a row. College professors, Master’s degree in the Arts, Bachelors. Ex-casting or agency background, SAG actors with track records. Reliability and teaching background as well, paramount. Age groups: 3 to 6, 7 to 9, 9 to 13, 13 to 19, Adults.

Screen Actor LA is an Institute of the Arts. We have been teaching for 20+ years. Our graduates are Little Joey on Modern Family, Danny Morgan on General Hospital, kids on Fresh Off The Boat, Nickelodeon, movies, commercials, print, etc…

First thing first. If the talent, kids and parents love you, you got yourself a great job. If they don’t you will be on a trial period and will need to move on. You need to be great with 3 year-old kids+ as well as all ages in children and adults.

We are looking for a committed Teacher to complement our qualified workforce of educators. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan mixing methods, MAKING IT FUN while giving our graduates skills towards booking work.

It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job and especially FUN! With an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a class and make learning acting, drama, an easy, FUN and meaningful process. The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in the craft and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of performing, becoming a character, learning and development. But mostly, each class will need to look like a game. A fun activities for kids and older kids. A story telling game which allows for the kids and talent to express their creativity. FUN stuff, extremely active stuff, elating and exciting stuff! Stuff also which allows for the kids to book work on film, TV, commercials and print as we give them access to to LA agents.

We also ask the instructors to take on various hats at times and help with the evaluation process. A background is sales but within a laid back atmosphere, would be a great added bonus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30 to 40 an hour.
