JT Logistics Hiring for Freight Brokerage – Key Account Manager Full Time

JT Logistics, a Des Moines, Iowa based provider of comprehensive logistics and transportations services is seeking a full-time key account manager – freight brokerage.

Summary: ing to the Senior Vice President of Transportation, the incumbent is responsible for the end-to-end sales process for the freight brokerage, which includes, lead generation, growing new business, and developing key accounts. The job holder also engages in account management functions such as freight pricing and vetting carriers and provides customer services to carriers and customers.

Essential Job Functions:

Sales and Retention (60%)

· Grow new and existing business by generating and converting sales leads and maximizing current relationships with carriers and customers

· Maintain solid, diversified book of business through competitive pricing, strong customer support, and preservation of heterogenous customer mix

Account Management (20%)

· Evaluate carriers on measures such as stability, cost, service quality, reliability, availability, and capacity

· Review credit limits and terms with clients

· Determine load ratings of carrier trucks to ensure optimal utilization, with sense of urgency

· Ensure profit margins and load volumes are maintained

Customer Service (20%)

· Lead investigation and follow up on claim s

· Resolve conflicts with clients and carriers in positive and professional manner to build credibility

· Provide follow-up with clients concerning dispute resolution to ensure customer satisfaction, as needed

· Provide courteous and prompt support of client inquiries relative to transportation services

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Three years of freight sales experience
