Job Summary and Qualifications

At Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, our NICU Clinical Coordinator is responsible for supervising nursing service activities in the Neonatal Critical Care unit for the duration of the assigned shift or in the absence of nursing management. In addition to utilizing quality improvement as a basis to improve unit/departmental processes, you will also maintain unit readiness for regulatory surveys. We are an amazing, hardworking team who is looking for a phenomenal addition like you!

• You will manage day to day operations of the NICU and ensure decisions, actions and group performance contributes to achievement of the unit, department and hospital’s goals and mission
• Our staff is expected to present themselves in a professional manner and communicate effectively with staff, peers, directors, external and internal customers
• As the NICU Clinical Coordinator, you will manage day to day operations of the NICU ensuring decisions, actions and group performance contributes to achievement of the unit, department and hospital’s goals and mission
• You must orient and mentor new staff members

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
