We deliver around 1.3million loaves, every day of the week throughout the UK and Ireland, where we also make Mothers Pride and Ormo products.

Job Role

To ensure that Hovis Ltd are in a position at all times to supply their customers according to agreed timescales and expectations with high quality goods, accurately assembled to meet the customer order.

Key Accountabilities

• To accept personal responsibility for your working environment to ensure your personal safety and that of others
• To contribute to performance improvement initiatives to ensure that efficiencies and performance are continuously improved.
• To undertake any duties in any other area by request, providing that the required training is provieded
• To actively seek and communicate opportinities for process improvement leading to step change in site performance.
• To accurately and efficiently assemble customer orders using the equipment provided whilst observing all relevant safe systems of work.
• To operate the systems technology effectively and ensure that all systems and paper work transactions are fully completed.
• To ensure that any poor quality items are removed from theorder assembly process and replaced with good quality items

Knowledge & Specific Job Skills

Essential:

• At least 18 years of age (due to the shift pattern)
• Good standard of literacy and numeracy
• Cope well under pressure and have the ability to rise to challenges

Desireable:

• Experience of working within a team in a shift based operational environment, preferably within the distribution sector
• Willing to take on new responsibilities within the distribution centre
