Starline Holdings LLC, a company of Legrand N.A. has an exciting career opportunity for a Account Manager-Automotive Sector in the greater Detroit area. The primary function of this role is to lead demand generation plan to expand penetration in the vibrant automotive market, in order to meet/exceed global revenue objectives. In this vital role, the incumbent will be responsible to foster existing relationships as well as develop business development strategy for new Automotive OEM’s, Tier I/II suppliers, EVSE integrators, engineering firms, contractors, distributors, and other target customers.

What Will You Do?

Essential Functions

• Establish and develop global strategy, vision, and communicate its objectives in a professional, crisp manner.
• Develop holistic sales plan and drive its execution in in pursue of project-based business
• Proven record of collaborative style with Domestic/International Sales team, manufacturing representatives, channel partners.
• Develop strong business relationships with new and existing target accounts and decision makers.
• Provide accurate monthly sales s and forecasts utilizing MS PowerBI.
• Responsible to drive automotive pipeline growth. Utilize Salesforce CRM software to monitor, , maintain its data current.
• Perform market research to qualify new business opportunities, analysis of customer’s budget, requirements, competitive landscape, etc.
• Prepare, develop, and deliver key value propositions. Develop proposals utilizing quotation system.
• Negotiate contracts and assist in their administration.
• Attend automotive industry trade shows.
• Collaborate with Legrand sister divisions to maximize market penetration.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Proven track record selling systems or solutions to automotive manufacturing facilities
• Experience with electrical power distribution in automotive applications
• Ability to understand market trends to make actionable decisions
• Must have strong cross-functional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentations)
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Ability to work remotely and in a team environment
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Teams, PowerBI, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
• Experience with CRM lead management software. (i.e., Salesforce)
• International/global experience and perspective is preferred
• Results oriented, self-motivated, professional individual
• Promote the company’s image, reputation, and brand identity by maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to travel domestically and globally and effectively work with teams from other countries and cultures. Travel: 25-50%

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
• 7+ years of progressive responsibility in sales, account management, and business development.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth within the automotive sector primarily offering services and products to facilities
• Knowledge of electrical products preferred
• MBA preferred
• Residence within 75 miles radius of Detroit Greater Area, MI preferred

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
• The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection.
• Regularly required to stand; walk and communicate with others.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
• Must have a valid U.S. Passport
