PGW Auto Glass Hiring for IT Network Security Engineer Full Time

SUMMARY:

The IT Network Security Engineer performs two core functions for the enterprise. The first is the day-to-day operations of the in-place security/network solutions while the second is the identification, investigation and resolution of security breaches detected by those systems. Secondary tasks may include involvement in the implementation of new security solutions, participation in the creation and or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments. The IT Network Security Engineer is expected to be fully aware of the enterprise’s security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures, and guidelines; and to actively work towards upholding those goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provided day to day support for networking issues with a working knowledge of Fortinet, Cisco, and Azure.
• Maintain security for corporate environment solutions, such as: End-User access control for remote, on-prem, and hybrid access.

Hybrid Datacenter Environment to include Linux, Unix, AWS, M365, O365, Azure, and remote provisioning and access control & logging.
Internal and external web-based applications with strong knowledge of DNS, SSL, TLS, etc..
Mobile Device Management including phones, tablets, workstations, and other IoT devices.

• Audit current automated workflows or processes to ensure compliance with security rules and best practices.
• Schedule, perform, and revise security audits/policies to reflect or change current practices to comply with regulatory changes.
• Manage malware protection and software security updates.
• Provide escalated technical support to customers by handling security-related issues; may provide on-call technical support telephonically and/or electronically.
• Cover for engineers and/or support specialists in their absence
• Recommend, schedule (where appropriate), and apply fixes, security patches, disaster recovery procedures, and any other measures required in the event of a security breach.
• Download and test new security software and/or technologies.
• Monitor server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Interpret activity and make recommendations for resolution.
• Develop and implement training tools and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Four or more years of experience in systems administration and/or network administration.
• Experience with regulatory compliance requirements such as SOX, PCI DSS, etc.
• Communication skills to communicate system proposals to management and customers and provide systems diagnoses and resolution for current systems
• Interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel, and team members
• Organization skills to balance and prioritize work
• Leadership skills to assist less experienced personnel
• Ability to integrate moderately complex hardware and software systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Extraordinary customer service skills
