Lincoln Tech has an outstanding opportunity for a Local Network/System Administrator. This role is responsible for the management and ongoing operational maintenance at our campus in New Britain, CT. You would be a valuable part of a Corporate-wide team that is tasked to ensure the reliability and availability of the campus data and communication infrastructure. You would be the point of contact directly supporting Lincoln’s administrative and educational staff users, while providing a high level of customer service to staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Install applications (for example Microsoft Office or Adobe Acrobat)
• Configure email client software to access email servers and services
• Perform desktop and laptop hardware and software troubleshooting
• Configure hardware and drivers
• Troubleshoot both wired and wireless network connectivity problems and provide remote hands-on support to Network Engineers
• Create trouble system tickets and responds to issues (e.g., Jira Service Desk)
• Assist in the technical training and the onboarding process for Lincoln Tech Students and Staff
• Other projects as assigned by Corporate IT and local campus managers

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CompTIA A+ or Network+ or equivalent experience
• 1+ years working in a MS Windows® Desktop OS environment, installing and configuring Microsoft Windows on workstations and laptops.
• Strong PC hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Moderate Windows® Server experience
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Loading and Configuring Mobile apps on cell phones
• Strong Customer Service skills

Preferred

• Active Directory Administration and Windows® Server Administration
• Knowledge of HP server workstations and laptop hardware
• Knowledge of DELL workstations and laptops
