Hourly rate £16 – £20 per hour depending on skills and expertise
Our client, a leading Construction company with Head Offices in Birmingham is looking for a temporary generalist HR Advisor with expertise in Employee Relations and absence management for approximately 3-6 months.
Working within the HR shared service team you’ll support and work closely with the team on small project activity such as the monitoring, reviewing and updating HR policies to ensure they are in line with current legislation and provide support with any organisational change. You will also have an active role in the Diversity and Inclusion steering group and implement recommendations.
Responsibilities:
Provide full support, advice and guidance on all employee relations matters
Lead on the absence management processes across the business
Support organisational change activity
Build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels and ensure effective communication of good HR practice
Undertake projects which support the business strategy and/or improve the effectiveness of HR
Manage and take the lead on IR35 regulations and associated HR processes
Be involved in ad hoc HR projects/requests
You will have:
HR generalist background
In-depth knowledge of UK Employment Law
Ability to handle complex employee relations matters
Qualified to CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
Flexibility to travel to different sites as occasional travel may be required
Effective coaching and facilitation skills
Ability to interpret and communicate information effectively
Ability to prioritise and organise workload in a busy HR environment
Able to build credible relationships across the business and influence manager behaviours
Competent IT skills with the ability to use a wide range of Microsoft Office applications
Experience in using the Midland HR i-Trent system desirable
Our client supports hybrid working. The position will be a hybrid role based 3 days per week within their head office in Birmingham and 2 days remote.
There will be a requirement to attend other offices across the UK as required.
