The roleYou will fulfil the responsibilities through activities associated with core financial systems ensuring successful Department of Health system specifications, enhancements and upgrades. In addition, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders and develop and maintain effective working relationships.

This role contributes to the achievement of Finance Branch outcomes by participating in the identification of emerging issues, the provision of input on relevant issues, the commitment to branch plans and promoting the achievement of a coordinated approach to activities across the branch.

The successful personYou will have:

• Experience with financial systems implementations, documenting business process flows and/or exposure to a complex system environment.
• Demonstrated experience in the preparation of Financial Statements and the ability to interpret Government financial legislation and policies; Australian Accounting Standards and other prescribed requirements.
• Demonstrated data manipulation and analysis ability, including experience in interrogating, extracting and manipulating data.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with senior personnel.
