Bermuda Sands Apparel Hiring for Accountant Job at Charlotte, NC Full Time

Bermuda Sands Apparel is interviewing candidates for a full-time position managing the accountant/bookkeeping for the company. This position will also include administrative duties described below. The salary and benefits will be based on experience. The person will report directly to the managing partner regarding all financial matters and manage communication with a separate CPA management group. A college degree or equivalent training in a business or accounting field is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interact and consult with a contract CPA firm in managing the company’s accounting processes. The primary function will be learning and using ERP software.
• Handle and attempt to resolve customer and vendor inquiries of various types (re: payments, credits, account status, etc.).
• Work directly with business partners to track and manage the cash flow of all payables and receivables. Produce and analyze financial reports and create departmental budgets.
• Enter bills, cut checks, invoice customers. Pay special attention to the unique invoice requirements of many customers.
• Professionally manage past-due accounts with clients to obtain payments.
• Negotiate with vendors for better terms, pricing.
• Do all monthly calculations and spreadsheets to track commissions for sales representatives.
• Identify methods to improve and streamline current processes.

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

• Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper/Accountant.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Follow up and follow through.
• Adapt to interpreting and analyzing data.
• Organization and time management skills
• Accountability – can manage multiple priorities and meet business deadlines; a sense of urgency.
• Collaborative work style and strong work ethic.
• Bilingual – Spanish a plus.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree; 3+ years’ experience in Business or Accounting field is beneficial.
• Exceptional organizational skills to prioritize and complete work efficiently.
• Highly detail-oriented personality.
• MS Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency in producing professional documents.
• Proactive, self-motivated personality; possess the ability to work independently with effective time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate ideas and thoughts in a clear, concise manner.
• Work ethically and with integrity, including maintaining company confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
