Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD Looking for Civil and Structural Technician at Swansea Full Time

Civil and Structural Technician – required for our client based in Swansea 5mins of Junction 47 (M4). The Civil and Structural Technician will be working for a consultancy that work in a range of engineering sectors. The Civil and Structural Technician will be working on a range of projects such as Drainage, Roads, Bridges, Earthworks Utilities, Foundations, Temp Works, Façade design Subsistence and many more.

The Technician will ideally be a HNC/HND qualified Technician with experience of working on a range of projects within Civil and Structural Engineering for at least 5 years. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and live close to Swansea.

Civil and Structural Technician Position Overview

• Provide detailed structural drawings in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber in AutoCAD software packages
• Liaise with other members of staff and the design team
• Highways design
• Detailing and modelling of a wide range of building structures projects
• Liaise closely with engineers to ensure accurate drawing representation
• Aid the development of more junior team members
• Carry out steel and concrete layout drawings
• Reinforcement detailing and scheduling
• Attending Design team meetings
• Utility assessment and impact negotiation (C3 & C4)

Civil and Structural Technician Position Requirements

• HNC, HND, Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience within a consultancy.
• RC Detailing experience essential.
• A consultancy background is essential
• Proven track record in delivering high standards of draughtsmanship.
• Strong AutoCAD software skills
• Communication and numerical skills
• Flexible and enthusiastic approach to working within a team structure
• Ability to maximise the level of responsibility taken on projects, small and large.
• Office 365 and ideally Microsoft Sharepoint

Civil and Structural Technician Position Remuneration

• Salary £26K – £32K
• Contributory pension scheme
• 25 days Paid holiday + 8 days bank holiday
