Integrated Human Resourcing Hiring for Accountant Job at Gold Coast Full Time

Our client is a leading national professional services company in the property industry. Due to internal career progression, a position has become available for an experienced full time Accountant to join the team.

Based in their Bundall office and reporting to the Financial Controller, you will have 5+ years post graduate experience and will be involved in the day-to-day accounting functions for the business.

As part of the Finance Team, you will be responsible for:

• Financial reporting
• Preparation of monthly finance reports
• Preparation of monthly cashflow forecasts
• Monitoring, checking and approving receivables and payables
• Review of Payroll tax, PAYG and Superannuation prior to lodgement
• BAS Returns
• Fringe Benefits Tax
• Review of bank reconciliations
• Prepare and enter journal entries and adjustments into the accounting system
• Intercompany transactions and monthly reconciliations
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Other ad hoc responsibilities, e.g. involvements of system enhancement and/or migration projects

To be successful in this position we are seeking an astute accountant who is:

• Tertiary qualified in Accounting
• Driven and ambitious and not afraid to take on big challenges
• Able to lead by example, hard work and suggest business improvements wherever necessary
• Has excellent communication skills and is able to partner cross functionally across the business
• Able to ensure procedures are in place and are adhered to for timely and accurate reporting and consolidation.
• Highly organised, has great attention to detail and a commitment to delivering to deadlines.
• Experience with MYOB highly regarded

Overall, you will have a strong work ethic and are a self-motivated individual, possessing good common sense and judgement.
