What You’ll Be Doing:

Vision and Values:

• Communicate the organization’s mission and principles to both current employees and prospective candidates.
• Be a cultural partner who reinforces our culture as we grow and work with our team to make MDI an employer of choice.
• Be an advocate for a high-quality onboarding process that helps employees understand and feel connected to their roles.

Operations

• Contribute to the development of departmental objectives and processes to ensure that the organization embodies the vision and fundamental values.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing and aligning existing supporting systems.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Leadership Training:

• Plan and lead meetings or retreats to coach and educate management on employee development and engagement best practices and other important HR related topics.
• Assist the leadership team in properly coaching and counseling individuals to encourage employee satisfaction, retention, and productivity.

Inclusion and Recognition:

• Help ensure that MDI is a fair, positive, and inclusive workplace where employees feel valued.
• Manage recognition programs and assist with internal diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Learning and Development:

• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Develop a strategy where employees can thrive through training and coaching.

Talent Acquisition:

• Oversee the entire recruiting process, including writing job descriptions, composing case studies, conducting interviews, verifying references, distributing offer letters, and onboarding new hires.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to comprehend the needed skills and competences for applicants.
• Identify both traditional and nontraditional channels for recruiting top talent, such as external hiring resources, third-party agencies, and direct cold outreach.
• Drive the most successful recruitment strategy by leveraging best practices, analytics, and digital technology.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Analyze pay and benefit trends and advise top management.
• Create competitive base and incentive pay packages to retain personnel.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 7-10 years of experience as an HR professional.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
• Prior recruiting experience with heavy sourcing is required.
• Experience with compensation analysis.
• Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
