Our client, one of the top Crypto Payment Processors in Canada, is looking for a passionate AML professional who is enthusiastic about cryptocurrency and blockchain to join their team as an AML Analyst.
This role is open to global applicants.
Your responsibility
- Conduct investigations into potential suspicious activities and document findings
- Conduct client reviews and risk assessments based on sanction screening tools and adverse news
- Support the onboarding and treasury team with KYC, AML & EDD
- Assist in the creation, review, and enhancement of AML/CTF policies and procedures to meet FINTRAC requirements
- Conduct AML/CTF training for employees to raise awareness and ensure compliance across the organization.
- Stay abreast of cryptocurrency industry development and analyze the impact on business operations
- Draft and submit regulatory reports such as STRs, Large Virtual Currency Transaction Reports (LVCTRs) and Terrorist Property Reports (TPRs)
The Requirement
- Good understanding of FINTRAC reporting requirements
- Experience in the cryptocurrency, blockchain, or fintech industry preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
- Understanding US FinCEN regulations is an asset
- AML certifications are considered an asset
- Cryptocurrency certificates, such as CCFC, CRC or equivalent, are considered an asset
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
