Corporate Careers Hiring for Division of Northwestern Mutual Job at Recruiter Full Time

Reporting to the Executive Director of Recruitment and Business Development, this role is based out of our Long Island office in Melville. This role will execute office recruiting plans to reach activity and full-time recruitment goals. This is not an HR position, it is a talent acquisition role primarily focused on the recruitment of sales professionals and career changers.

Our ideal candidate it someone that has previous recruiting, sales and/or marketing experience. We are looking for someone who is great at building relationships, outgoing, goal oriented and driven. Previous experience in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion space preferred but not required. Strong marketing and events experience a plus!

This is an in-office position. No remote work available.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop sourcing plans to attract top talent while building a network of candidates for our open positions
• Manage advertising and marketing strategies to promote Northwestern Mutual career opportunities
• Act as a brand ambassador for Northwestern Mutual through networking and community engagement
• Day to day responsibilities include reviewing resumes, conducting warm and cold calls to prospective candidates, screening candidates, initial interviews, scheduling follow up meetings etc.
• Effectively communicate with candidates and oversee the entire selection process from start to finish
• Assist in the onboarding, training, and first day experience for all new hires

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years professional work experience, preferably in sales, recruiting or the financial services industry
• Previous marketing experience a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work professionally as a team member and with all levels of people
• Experience with prospecting; generating leads via phone or face-to-face interactions preferred
• Strong personal network and/or community involvement
