The Role

Harvey Norman Commercial is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Finance Assistant to join the team at Taren Point.

This role is hands on and requires strong time management and reconciliation skills coupled with exceptional communication. This is a Full Time role with opportunity to grow in a fast paced company that focuses on promoting from within. There will be comprehensive on the job training and support provided. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a growing organisation and work within a highly collaborative and supportive team.

The Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include assisting the finance team with a variety of tasks, enabling you to learn several different parts of the business including:

• Perform daily cashbook transactional postings;
• Bank reconciliations;
• End of month procedures;
• Assistance with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and journals;
• A good understanding of Administration processes;
• Assist Financial Controller with ad hoc projects.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Experience in a similar role;
• Good numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy;
• Excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders;
• The ability to multitask and prioritise so that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and expectations are managed;
• A willingness to take on additional tasks across the broader finance team as required;
• Accounting or finance qualifications or working towards is desirable but not essential.
