A subsidiary of a global business our client offers a diverse range of products and services to Mining and Infrastructure across Australia and beyond. With corporate values focused around safety and customer experience they have built a strong reputation as a market leader in their field. Due to ongoing growth and internal promotions, they now seek a systems savvy Accountant to join their team in a newly created role.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and with a focus within the Management Accounting/ Analysis function, this is a newly created and broad role that will give you scope across the whole finance function, with an emphasis on working with the team to improve their reporting and analysis tools. The responsibilities of the role will include;

• Cash flow reporting and analysis
• WIP management
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Cost and margin analysis
• Assisting with Management reporting
• Maintenance of Fixed Asset register and Inventory
• Support the implementation and staff training of new reporting tools
• Development and automation of financial models and reports
• Assisting Finance Manager, as required

About You
The successful candidate will have/be;

• At least degree qualified
• Mining, Infrastructure or Manufacturing industry experience will be highly regarded
• A strong attention to detail with well-developed organisational skills
• Flexible and adaptable with a positive and professional team attitude
• Strong ERP system experience with at least Intermediate Excel
• Exposure to Power BI highly regarded but not essential
• An interest in systems with demonstrated experience with improving processes/ developing reporting and spreadsheets
