The Rakem Group is an agent, distributor and manufacturer of speciality raw material of paper, coatings, plastics, textile fibres, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, based in Bury, Lancs.
We are looking for a full time Finance Assistant responsible for financial administration and updating customer records on Sage 200, maintaining the cash book across all Group companies and currencies, raising payments, bank reconciliations, processing staff expenses and credit card management, liaising with the bank and with credit insurance and month end reporting.
The role will also provide support to the Administration department, managing and processing customer orders from receipt through the despatch and invoicing.
To be considered for the role, you must have relevant experience in a financial admin role,a good understanding of accounting processes and procedures and be a competent Sage user (ideally Sage 200). Experience of working with a number of bank accounts and different currencies is essential.
Good IT skills and working towards or attainment of a recognised finance qualification are also a must along with a methodical approach, ability to problem solve and excellent analytical skills.
