The Role
As an ASD6 Finance Officer, you will:

• Lead support to internal budget preparation and financial performance reporting;
• Lead support to external budget preparation and reporting process;
• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements;
• Preparation of monthly financial management reports;
• Coordinate and perform asset accounting activities;
• Preparation and delivery of financial advice and support to ASD business areas;
• Resolution of complex accounting problems
• Building and sustaining internal and external stakeholder relationships;
• Lead financial assurance and audit activities;
• Research & contribute to the preparation & maintenance of financial policies and procedures; and
• Ensuring financial governance and compliance requirements are met.

About our Team
ASD finance is a growing team with a valued combination of new and experienced finance professionals. We provide the full range of finance advice and services to the agency and consist of two teams, Finance and Asset Management and External Budgets and Reporting. The Finance and Asset Management team provide support and advice to ASD business areas regarding financial management, internal budgets, asset accounting and financial policies and procedures. The External Budgets and Reporting team undertake the financial statements and external budgets & reporting functions for the agency.
