Junior Software Engineer

Having enjoyed a strong 2021, including securing significant investment, our client is a world-leader in the development of software services and platforms used mainly by construction companies and architects in the design and management of buildings and infrastructures. The company is looking to expand its team with its next key hire, a Junior Software Engineer, to join its growing and ambitious product development team.

As Junior Software Engineer, you’ll be engaged with development of the company’s core platform, using C# as the main programming language. Working as part of a small, highly collaborative and supportive, fully remote team in various European locations you’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering high quality, scalable, tested, cloud-based software services
• Striving to innovate, automate, and continuously improve the process of developing, releasing and managing software
• Support the creation of simple, integrated documentation for third party developers.

As Junior Software Engineer you’ll need:

• Graduate-level education in Computer Science or similar with an eagerness to learn, make an impression, get involved and gain valuable experience in a complex and rewarding field of software
• Experience working with any modern Object Oriented programming language commercially or otherwise eg. C#, Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, Typescript
• Knowledge of source control (git)
• Knowledge of automated software testing
• Excellent communication skills and English fluency (additional languages a bonus)
• To be comfortable working independently and as part of a team – a self starter
• Excellent problem solving and numerical skills

Also beneficial:

• Dotnet development experience
• Cloud Experience eg Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
• Front end development knowledge eg React, Blazor or Angular
• Non-relational Databases (Azure Storage, CosmosDb etc)
• Experience of Geometry / 3D Graphics concepts
• QA or manual testing experience
• Knowledge of the construction Industry
