The Resources, SCH & Commercial Finance team has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Technician to join our busy but friendly and supportive team.
Our Financial Operations Division are proud of our proven track record of delivering an excellent service. Our approach to maintaining a three-Year Medium Term Financial Strategy has been held up as good practice nationally and for a number of years we have achieved External Audit reports with no recommendations for improvement. We believe in investing in training and providing support for staff to develop their careers.
The team supports a broad range of service areas within the Council and SCH, providing financial advice and assistance to both internal and external customers daily.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and motivated individual, who is part AAT qualified having achieved AAT Accounting Qualification to Level 2 (or equivalent financial qualification) and has experience of working in a professional finance environment, using financial systems and has effective organisational and communication skills.
Under our smarter ways of working strategy, this role will be working on a hybrid basis, including a combination of home based and office working, working from our offices at the Council House, Solihull or our SCH sites as required.
