Octavius Infrastructure (previously known as Osborne infrastructure) provides solutions for safe, sustainable and efficient transport networks in the UK.

Our focus is firmly on bringing people together in the Rail and Highways sectors where we have proven experience and expertise working collaboratively with our customers and our supply chain partners to deliver sustainable actions. We also provide sustainable outcomes in the delivery of transport hubs enabling integration between different modes of transport with innovative car park solutions.

You’ll be working on…(what your role and responsibility is)

• You will be a working supervisor to ensure the teams work in a safe, profitable, planned manner to achieve the programme and deliver a quality product and service.
• The role will cover delivery of multi-discipline projects across the Southern region.
• You will be supervising projects from start to finish and carrying out safety and quality audits
• You will be able to develop and maintain positive relationships.
• You will be able to promote and protect the Octavius Infrastructure reputation whilst remaining customer focused and in line with Company policies and values.
• To lead by example by engendering the collaborative culture throughout the site team, including suppliers and customers, ensuring that everyone works towards our common vision of a vibrant delivery mechanism that delivers on promises, chosen by customers and has safety at its core.
• Be responsible for safety first culture onsite.

About you…(what you are skilled at)

1. You will be capable of scheduling, co-ordinating and supervising the work of all site operatives and supervision of sub-contractor work packages to support the delivery of wider projects, while being commercially aware and maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality, social, environmental control.
2. You will work closely with site managers, engineers and surveyors to ensure that work packages are completed in a safe manner whilst customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.
3. Highly organised, with excellent planning and time management skills
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects without compromising on safety, standards and quality
5. Highly motivated, results-oriented with a positive outlook
6. Safety first mindset, with the ability to assess and mitigate risks including those associated with working within the railway environment
7. Technically savvy, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Project
8. Problem solver with the ability to both challenge designs and produce/explain accurate plans and drawings

You’ll bring…(your wealth of experience & qualifications)

• Applicants will need to have a buildings and civils background and have a good understanding of all elements within the various trades.
• You will need to demonstrate in past experience that you are able to supervise multi-discipline projects within a railway environment
• You will be required to travel between the sites across Southern, therefore a full driving license is essential.
• PTS (Minimum) / COSS (desirable)
• SSSTS (Minimum) / SMSTS (desirable)
• CSCS (Minimum)
• CAT & Genny 4 (Minimum)
• Abrasive Wheels (Minimum)
• First Aid (Minimum)
• NVQ Level 3 /HNC  (desirable)
