Role Summary

Our client is the market leader in LNG, with one of the most diversified portfolios and largest market footprint. Over the next decade, the LNG market will become more commoditized. Greater competition, more liquidity, deployment of complex analytics and AI in LNG trading combine to create a different, more competitive environment. Build best in class fundamental market analysis across all geographies and time horizons to underpin decision making for LNG and the voluntary carbon market, this team aims to improve the data available for trading analytics to support decision making. Software Engineer is an individual with proven experience in adhering to software engineering best practices, delivering software products/applications generating business value. They are expected to have continuous improvement mindset, driving value-based process, product/application optimization.

Technical Skills

  • Strong experience in modern C++ development, version 11 or higher
  • Knowledge of Limit Order Book, exchange connectivity (FIX, MDP), and order management paradigms
  • Experience with iMPACT (FIX) and iLink3 (binary) order routing and market data APIs
  • Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures, and the ability to optimise code for performance
  • Familiarity with common software engineering design patterns
  • Experience developing multithreaded applications
  • Familiarity with using a Linux/UNIX terminal and shell scripting
  • An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline, with 2:1 or equivalent mark
  • Although the CME (iLink binary feed) experience is not strictly necessary for this immediate role S2F work, it would be good to find a candidate who had this experience as well should we look to replace more TT functionality later down the line.
