Being an OSHC educator holds a lot of flexibility to prioritise study or family needs, and at the Y, you might just discover a family of your own – we have a supportive on the ground and at head office.
What being an OSHC Educator Entails
OSHC educators care for children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. Highlights include running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children – such as science experiments, outdoor games and painting.
As an OSHC Educator you will:

YMCA Varsity College Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is located at The Varsity College Primary School licensed for 180 children and offer Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care between the hours of 6:30am and 6pm.
Our service philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children’s agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood. We offer a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences for children and welcome educators with unique skill sets to share with children.
The YMCA is the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East Queensland, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.
