Foundations, Inc. serves as an education contractor to the Rocky Mountain Tribal Leadership Council’s (RMTLC) Rocky Mountain Students-to-Teachers Education Program (STEP) for ALL project. The project is designed to address the needs of approximately 1,100 Native American students of the Crow and the Northern Cheyenne Tribes in two local education agencies in Montana. The activities are designed to address the challenges experienced in the Native American community, using evidenced- and researched-based strategies and practices that are intended to engage those impacted by the project outcomes – students, educators, teachers, and families in the Native community – in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the project.
Foundations, Inc.’s role in the project is to assist the RMTLC deliver in-school, afterschool, and summer academic enrichment programs at two local education agencies in Billings, MT with a focus on reading, math, science, and the arts. Additionally, to engage students’ interest in the teaching profession as role models and future teachers within their communities, we will embed career and work ready exploration in the curriculum through activities during school and afterschool programs. Finally, we will work with local colleges and universities to design and implement dual enrollment opportunities for high school students.
We are seeking two exceptional part-time project coordinators to work on behalf of Foundations, Inc. in coordination with the RMTLC, local education agencies and other partners and stakeholders to ensure all deliverables and goals are met on time over the course of the five-year grant. Ideal candidates will live in either the Hardin or Wyola areas of Montana. The Project Coordinators’ responsibilities will be performed primarily from home but will be expected to travel to and work on the school sites up to 50 percent of the time. The Project Coordinators will report directly to the Chief Strategic Partnerships and Grants Officer. The work schedule will be Monday-Friday up to 25 hours per week, and the work hours will alternate between 8:30 am-1:30 pm MT and 1:00 pm-6:00pm MT.
In the selection process, priority will be given to Native American and Alaskan Native candidates.
